Live from the WWDC War Room

One of the joys of being an intern at Apple this summer is planning and attending the Worldwide Developers Conference at Moscone West, in San Fran. Imagine thousands of mostly guys, all ages, with laptop bags slung over shoulders, donning Apple t-shirts, mohawks, and milling around looking somewhat lost. Long lines for the men's bathroom. Theatrical session rooms with presentations on Mac Games, Mac code, and Mac everything. That's what it's like here. Geeky, and surprisingly subdued.

Although reserved in person, attendees get their aggressions out over the web, and they're not quiet. Just look on technorati.com to see what all 356 bloggers are saying about WWDC: the banners, the energy at the keynote, the food. As an Apple marketing agent, it's a great source of real info, you just have to make sure to get a good solid sample.

Still shrouded in secret, one of the things I've been working on for this year's conference will be unveiled tomorrow at our Go-to-Market Session. I'm excited. It's not everyday that some MBA from UMich gets to work on a real project at a great company like Apple.
