Pirate Fun and Revelry

In true trendy form, our house has decided to host a Pirate Party on September 29th. Not sure if all dear readers are familiar with Evite, but it certainly has revolutionized the way that social events are organized these days; you can see who has seend your invite, who's coming, who's not, who they're bringing....remind you of Big Brother? I hope so.

Anyhoo, the party promises to be a good time complete with costumes, pirate drinks and such. We've gotten a tremendously positive response from our friends who are all jazzed up about a non-beer, non football related party, and honestly it's about time (yes, referring to previous entry) that someone around here decided to do something somewhat out of the ordinary. Not anyone's fault directly, but we're tired of the bus, the games, the beer. We want something new. Ahoy mateys!

On another note, I have bcome impromptu writing consultant for my consultant friends, which is quite ironic, in my opinion. Another reminder of Vassar when I was helping future English Lit PhD's write their papers. Me thinks writin' might be a crackin' good option to pursue, aye!

M,

I'm super psyched to learn about your pirate party and your attempt to alter the course of Ross socialization by moving beyond the beer beer, the bus and the rest of the boring routine. Of course I'll miss it cause I'm out of town, but since I wasn't invited, I guess I shouldn't be that sorry. No worries though, I haven't exactly been Mr. Social this semester, so I'm not surprised the party invitations aren't rolling in. Have a great time at the party and keep these blog postings coming. They are great fun to read. Happy Belated Rosh Hoshannah, you Midwestern Jew you!!!
