Uh oh, it's been too long...

Dear me, it's been days since I've updated.

Visited Tahoe for the weekend and had a fabulous time. One thing that makes California so amazing is that you can be close to the ocean and only hours from the mountains (snowcapped, even now!) and rolling green hills. Lake Tahoe is the 8th deepest lake in the world (!) and was formed when the earth split apart - really the lake is a big crack in the earth. Unlike most bodies of water this side of the continental divide, runoff from Tahoe does not go to the Pacific, but instead South. Ahh, the things you learn from the hotel brochure.

We stayed in a charming B&B in Sutter Creek (see photo) on the way up to Tahoe, played mini-golf, went out on a paddle boat, and went for a hike. The weather was awesome and I actually forgot about blogging, it was great.

More productive thoughts tomorrow, I promise.
