if a drunk tries to break into your car at 2am, and he doesn't succeed, what do you do?

Tonight at 2 a.m., I am sitting in a sandwich shop, and through the window my friend spots a guy trying to break into our friends' car across the street in a well-lit parking lot. What would you do?

1. Run over to the guy and car and yell at him, after all, you don't want him to break into the car!
2. Yell at him from across the street, hoping that he'll leave your car alone
3. Do nothing and call the police

Ok, so the three of us did all three of these things. Guess which one was me?

The guy ended up being a very confused drunk (?) and we told the police about it. For the record, I hate the police, but sometimes you just have to clue them in as to what's going on...
